Carmen Dell'Orefice is the world's original and oldest supermodel. Indeed, hers is the longest modeling career in the history of modeling.
Carmen was born in 1931 and began modeling when she was 14. At 15, Carmen appeared on her first cover of Vogue. At 75, sixty years later, she still appears in the pages of high fashion magazines and graces the runways of Paris and New York modeling the fashions of such designers as Thierry Mugler, John Galliano, Jean-Paul Gaultier, etc. Over the past sixty years, she has been photographed by Cecil Beaton, Irving Penn, Horst, Norman Parkinson, Francesco Scavullo, Avedon, and Helmut Newton, to name but a few.
